Built with a convenient, removable stainless steel fitting and changeable precision-cut flexible tubing, MarvelX is finger-tight to over 19,000psi and can be used up to 200 times.

MarvelX UHPLC fittings

MarvelX UHPLC fittings MarvelX UHPLC fittings do not depend on ferrules. They seal at the bottom of the port, without complex techniques, which significantly reduces required torque and enables many more connects and disconnects. Furthermore, they are virtually impossible to over-tighten by hand, limiting wear and increasing product life. An enhanced proprietary tip design also ensures zero dead volume (ZDV) and better chromatography results.

Conventional coned fittings Conventional coned fittings require a ferrule in conjunction with a fitting for proper sealing. They depend on complex techniques, including tools, to improve sealing performance, which significantly increases probability of extra internal volume and poor chromatography results. The excessive force needed for tightening increases wear of expensive components and the likelihood of replacement, adding to overall costs.

 

Eliminate Dead Volume in UHPLC with MarvelX

Dead volume in UHPLC is a major issue especially if the extra-column volume is so high it causes loss of efficiency and resolution. In UHPLC dead volume can be especially damaging due to the small extra column volumes encountered in a typical system. If critical connections are not made 100% efficiently any additional dead volume will drastically reduce the performance and resolution offered by UHPLC. Another feature of UHPLC is high throughput, therefore in gradient UHPLC it is important to have a small gradient delay, or dwell volume so connection volumes should be kept to a practical minimum from the pump to the injection valve.
